Module 2
EXPLORING THE LANGUAGES OF THE HEART.
Analog Communication and Somato-Cognitive reconnection.
Beneath and beyond the language processing functions carried out in the cerebral cortex, there is the “communication dance” of the human mammal. Voice tones, emphasis, gestures, postures, and musicality: our old brain processes them bringing about immediate emotional changes that come before the understanding of verbal language. We like to think these are the “languages of the heart”, opening and closing possibilities for a deeper communication, beyond words.
We explore the possibilities offered by sound, movement and words connected to states of expanded perception that Generative Trance opens. As we reconnect to an ancient somatic intelligence, we find in our own body and voice the “fine-tuned instrument” that allows deeper connection with others. We remember the Language of the Heart.
We believe one of the most generative functions of our verbal (cognitive) mind is the capacity to use language for proper naming (to name properly) – finding the words that give value to the experience of the body (the somatic mind).
